ABOUT ME

Introduction

My name is Ashley Jailall and I was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens. I am currently a student at Hofstra University, where I am a NOAH Scholar and where I am majoring in Nursing. My hobbies are nails, (OFC!) watching Netflix, trying new foods, and traveling!

I started pressedonbyash as a fresh 14 year-old as an easy side hustle during the early beginnings of quarantine. Many may say that quarantine changed their lives and turned their whole world upside down, and for me, that was exactly the case. I started with nothing but a passion and my gels. But, once I knew what I wanted to do, it didn't take me long to quickly set up an Instagram account where I posted my very first press-on set. It was so fun taking orders, testing my creativity, and watching others support such a young entrepreneur. I may not have had a concrete plan, but I was content in my pursuit of making Pressedonbyash a success!

Growth

Fast forward to now, with 4 years of press on experience as an 18 year old, I believe that this business can forever be my creative outlet and a place I can turn to whenever I am feeling hopeless or burnt out. I started this business from the ground up, and it is only going to get better from here.

At the time, press ons were not that popular but I got into them for my love of nail art as a child and always being surrounded by nails growing up. Today, there are so many nail artists that are creating press ons in their own creative and unique way.
